new works by MICA's an introduction to interactive media course.

in the 80's and 90's d.j.'s would use vinyl records as [open.source] sound archives to create new & hybrid forms of music. today, with the birth of web 2.0, video culture and open.source material at the forefront of main stream [digital] culture; video artists have an almost endless supply of material available to them online. websites such as youTube can serve as open.source video library. it is in this spirit we present youTube 2.0. all of the videos presented here have been re.mixed from material found on the youTube network using the title of each work as a search query. the re.mixed work is then re.injected back into the youTube system. please feel free to download these videos, re.mix, & invite others to do the same. dilute the system and help create an endless, evolving digital hybrid.
