The artist's laptop is programmed to take a photo, using the built-in camera, at two minute intervals. These photos then get automatically uploaded to the project web server where they are processed into vector images and then gradually "painted" to the screen of anyone who may be viewing the work. Every tenth image is logged in a database to maintain a record of previous moments. Clicking the "Self-Portrait randomizer" link will go to a page that randomly selects ten previous images and simultaneously paints all of them to the screen, resulting in a somewhat chaotic abstraction that hints at the artist's image in various different locations.
