One work of four forming part of the exhibition nullPointerException. The software installation pieces in nullPointerException hide and reveal interpretations of aspects of software code through interaction. These works refer to the fascia/interfaces between human ideas and machine execution. The installation works use the Microsoft Xbox Kinect as its primary sensing and interaction device.
interface instead of multiple inheritance interfaceInstead is aware of player presence. It hides its internal representation and only reveals this view when it cannot see a viewer/player. The view when the player is not visible to the software reflects software architecture and memory representations as well as error messages taken from the operating system. The view when the player is visible to the work draws from my planning and conceptualisation of the work; hand written notes and images from my workbook. This represents the human view of the same structures.
